On a shocking note, Ex-PM and congress leader Dr.Manmohan Singh confessed that Late PM PV Narasimha Rao didn't take any steps to stop the 1984 riots. Speaking at the 100th Borth Anniversary of Former PM IK Gujral, manmohan singh said that Narasimha Rao was warned already about the grave situation, but he never bothered.
This comes at the backdrop of the re-opening of the 1984 riots cases. On november 29th, a special team started investigating the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots and they submitted a sealed cover before the supreme court regarding the closed cases by CBI. Now, the cases have been re-opened. Moreover, sources report that the supreme court is mulling whether to furnish a copy of the report to the petitioners.
The apex court has also allowed cbi officer abhishek Bhullar to be repatriated to CBI. The cbi on march 15th told the supreme court that Sajjan Kumar is capable of influencing the witnesses in the case which are pending against him. Sajjan Kumar was convicted of the gruesome murder of five Sikhs in delhi Cantonment on november 2, 1984. watch out this space for more updates in this regard.
