andhra pradesh assembly has taken up a short discussion on the atrocities on women on the first day of the Winter session. andhra pradesh chief minister YS jagan mohan reddy made a moving speech in the house where he responded on Disha's Rape and murder and the encounter of the four accused that followed.

"I am very much disturbed as a father of two girls with Disha incident and various incidents being reported in the state. The family is looking for instant justice after what has happened to their child. Hats off to telangana chief minister, kcr and telangana police for doing what is necessary to give them the relief," jagan said in the house.

"The encounter happened in extraordinary circumstances. In films, we clap when a hero does an encounter and the film becomes a blockbuster. But when it happens in the real-life, we say it is wrong and question why it happened. This is not right. The way how the National Human Rights Commission responded on this issue is also not right," the chief minister added. "We all need to strengthen the laws and make the country safe for our girl children. I invite everyone's suggestion on this issue", jagan added.
