andhra pradesh chief minister YS jagan mohan reddy clarified that the ysr congress party manifesto had never included any promise about the supply of polished rice ( Sona Masuri) for the people of the State in response to the TDP's misinformation campaign about government going back on its promise of giving Sona Masuri to White Ration Card Holders.
Speaking during the second day of the assembly Winter Session, he further added that the State government is also providing many schemes and benefits which were not mentioned in the manifesto. The state government is planning to provide fine quality rice (Swarna Masuri) to the people of the state from april 1st.
The chief minister advised the tdp members to first improve their knowledge on rice and its varieties and strongly clarified that the ysrcp would implement all the promises which they had made in the manifesto as well. The state government is all set to launch a scheme for supply of fine quality rice to people first in srikakulam district as a pilot project, said YS Jagan. Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath said that tdp government had spent Rs 200 crore for rice and now the cysrcp government has spent more than Rs 4,300 crore for rice supply.
