Leaders of the political parties are vertically divided into two on bifurcation of the state. Telangana aspirants support for Telangana where SA leaders back for United Andhra. But most of the leaders and MLAs in Hyderabad City have in silent mood. Some raise their voice for Telangana and others make statements on Settlers issues without raising Telangana. Political benefits and interests forced them to keep silent.
There are 15 Assembly segments in Hyderabad City and 14 Segments exist in Ranga Reddy district. Neither Congress representatives nor TDP nor MIM have raise Telangana issue. All of them maintain neutral stand on Telangana. Settlers from SA are in dominant in their respective Segments. TRS and BJP have strong commitment on Telangana. TRS has no representatives in both Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy. BJP has just one Assembly Segment in Amberpet where State BJP President Kishan reddy elected.
Two Ministers from Hyderabad Daanam (Khairatabad) and Mukhesh (Ghoshamahal) were argued against the Telangana before the CWC decision. They changed their tune as per the wishes of Congress High Command now.
M. Sashidhar Reddy (Sanathnagar) also not make any statement for Telangana. Adding to that, he lashed out TRS for its threatening statements against settlers in Telangana. Actress Jayasudha too not make any statement for Telangana because of existing more settlers’ votes in Secunderabad Segment. Shankar Rao (Cantonment) is different from others. He always expresses his gratitude towards Sonia Gandhi and her family without any positive comment on Telangana. For all these MLAs only one common threat is Settlers voting. Analysts believe that Settlers votes have in dominant percentage in Hyderabad. That’s the reason for their silence.
