The High Power Committee meeting which was supposed to happen tomorrow is postponed at the last minute. This is because of the unavailability of some Ministers in the committee. The meeting will now happen on the 7th and it is likely to happen in the secretariat or the CRDA headquarters.

The High Power Committee will look into the GN Rao Committee and BCG Report and it was asked to submit its final report in three weeks. Sources say that despite the postponement, there will be no change in the reporting date of the committee.

The High Power Committee which will be headed by Finance minister buggana rajendranath reddy has nine of his cabinet colleagues as the members. The Committee also comprises six senior officials including Chief Secretary nilam sawhney and director General of police D gautam Sawang as members. It may be recalled that the farmers of the amaravati capital area, who gave away their lands for capital, have been protesting for the past 19 days against the proposal to shift secretariat to Visakhapatnam. The committee will not just give its report on the Executive capital location at visakhapatnam but also on all other aspects related to decentralized development.
