Virat Kohli and his teammates touched down in Auckland ahead of 5-match T20I series with New Zealand
Reportedly days after clinching a sensational comeback win over australia in the ODIs at home, india are gearing up for a major overseas test in the New Year a long tour against New Zealand. Recently virat kohli and his india teammates have touched down in auckland ahead of the T20I series, starting january 24. india will be playing 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests in New Zealand.
Furthermore india captain virat kohli took to instagram to post a photo with shreyas iyer and shardul thakur as the team landed in auckland on Tuesday. Perhaps Vice-captain rohit sharma alo took to social media to upload a photo with his teammates ahead of India's departure to New Zealand. He said "You have to win at home, there's that sort of feeling (for hosts). So if you bring out your A game, you can really put them under pressure. Looking forward to take that same intensity into the series."
Moreover india had named a 15-member squad for the 5-match T20I series against New Zealand. The former world champions begun their t20 world cup year with a series win over sri lanka at home but they will be facing a stiffer test against New Zealand. kohli said after india outclassed australia in the 3rd ODI in bengaluru on sunday "We are taking a lot of confidence from our performance (in NZ) last year. We were very positive in how we played, very sure of what we wanted to do. The thing about playing away is if you're able to put the home team under pressure, you can enjoy your cricket".
