Washington sources reported that US President Donald Trump’s 2020 State of the Union address today was nothing short of a huge drama and twitter is having a ball enjoying it. Futthermore from trump snubbing US house of Representative Speaker Nancy Pelosi to then Pelosi tearing a copy of his speech, this is how the President’s third State of the Union address transpired in Washington DC.
Perhaps as Nancy Pelosi stretched out her hand to greet President trump, he just handed her a copy of his speech and refused to shake it. Pelosi was taken aback by Trump’s snubbing. However, the awkward exchange took a heated turn, when later Pelosi took the copy of Trump’s speech, tore it into pieces and then tossed it aside, as he finished his speech.
Moreover this is not the first time that Pelosi's encounter with trump was turned into a viral meme. Apparently trump saw Pelosi at the address for the first time since she stormed out of a white house meeting four months ago. Hence during the address, the US President avoided the subject of his impeachment. However, it was quite evident that the trial had left an impact as Republicans gave him a standing ovation while Democrats remained seated.
