Reportedly vacation in exotic places like Bali, maldives, mauritius and goa have bikini scenes common. But, rules have been made stricter and a woman was arrested in the maldives for wearing a bikini. Meanwhile the incident shocked many and the video on the same has also gone viral on social media. Furthermore the British-accent tourist woman was detained by the Maldivian police on a beach on the island of Maafushi in Kaafu Atoll. Perhaps the video shows cops holding the woman tightly and she can be seen shouting at the police that "You are sexually assaulting me".

Further the cops were also trying to handcuff the tourist while another man tries to cover her up with a towel. police drag the woman and the visuals are absolutely disturbing. It is said that the woman is a UK reality tv star. Apparently the incident has been highly criticized and termed as unacceptable on social media. Many blamed cops that they are harassing and 'manhandling' the woman. The media suggests that the woman was arrested on friday evening at around 5 PM and cops gave a statement that she was under the influence of alcohol.

Moreover maldives police service commissioner, Mohamed Hameed, tweeted: "Incident in Maafushi in which our officers restrained a female tourist seems to be badly handled. I apologise to the tourist & the public for this. The challenge I have taken up is to professionalise the police service & we are working on that. This matter is being investigated." Perhaps Maafushi is a tourist place where wearing a bikini is 'strictly prohibited'.  One can wear a bikini only on private islands or local resorts. The UK government has also advised its tourists to remain sensitive and follow rules when travelling to the maldives, which is an Islamic country.
