After getting inspiration from Lok Satta President Jaya Prakash Narayanan (Ex-IAS) and AAP President Kejriwal (Ex-IRS), one more IAS will come into political arena in the state. K. Devanand who served as Prakasham District Collector announced his interest to enter into politics. He is not announced the name of the political party to join. But everyone is guessing his moments towards TDP.
Bapatla is a reserved constituency which had Assembly segments in both Prakasam and Guntur districts. Panabaka Lakshmi will contest again from this segment from Congress party. TDP is in search of its nominee to fight with Panabaka from Bapatla. Party is looking towards Congress MLAs who is strong candidate to contest. Devanand took voluntary retirement in December 2013 while serving as MD of AP Rajiv Swagruha Corporation.
Devanad is in delegation with various organizations since last 3 days in the district. Devanand uttered the same words “Equal Justice” as like TDP President CBN. Devanand expressed his intention to work under effective leadership of the political party. Devanand was questioned by CBI in VANPIC case in 2012. Devanand openly said that “We were in under pressure from YSR office in acquisition of land for VANPIC and made his allegations on Bhanu who was Special Secretary of YSR then”. TDP is not finalized anyone for this segment so far. Reportedly, CBN will consider Devanand’s appeal in this regard.
