tdp president and former chief minister of andhra pradesh chandrababu naidu was taken into custody under preventive detention at visakhapatnam airport, here on Thursday. He was served notice under Section 151 of Cr. PC by vishakapatnam east Zone DCP. He is currently in the VIP Lounge of vishakapatnam airport and is likely to be flown to vijayawada or hyderabad from there.
chandrababu naidu is at vizag airport since 11:30 AM and the Supporters of Three Capitals are not allowing him to go out of airport, arguing with the police officials. They are demanding him to support the Three Capitals. Some Protestors even tried to hurl eggs and tomatoes at Naidu’s convoy. Later, Naidu and his leaders sat on the road as a mark of protest against the Police's indirect co-operation to the Ruling party cadre. Then, police finally took him into custody citing Preventive Detention.
Naidu got into a heated argument with the police saying that he should be told under which law he is being taken into custody. He clarified that he will co-operate with the police only then. The incident looks very similar to that of Jagan's detention in vishakapatnam airport in 2017.
