If we compare bc reservations with 2014 to 2020 one should get clear picture. Total number of ZPTCs in ap is 660. As per 24% reservations for BCs, 159 ZPTCs would go to bc population. But they got 154 ZPTCs. In nellore there are 46 ZPTCs and bc would get 11 but they got 6 ZPTCs. In 16 Mandals in the district, bc have no chance to contest in election. kovvur is the highest bc population lived in where reservations got 8.97%. Only two segments have more than 20% of bc reservations are udayagiri and atmakur segments in nellore district. In Sullurpet segment is the least bc reservations with 1.6%.
In last election, there were 166 MPTCs in Nellore. Now there are 60 MPTCs in the district. 106 bc people will go too lost to contest in local body elections.
