The Shenzhen city in china has now banned the eating of dogs and cats due to the new corona virus threat. Chinese scientists suspect that the coronavirus is spread from animals and then passed to humans. Some of the earliest infections were found in people who had exposure to a wildlife market in the central city of wuhan, where bats, snakes, civets, and other animals were sold.

The press release said, "Dogs and cats as pets have established a much closer relationship with humans than all other animals, and banning the consumption of dogs and cats and other pets is a common practice in developed countries and in hong kong and Taiwan.

This ban also responds to the demand and spirit of human civilization." Shenzhen now becomes the first Chinese city to impose the ban. A report from Humane Society international says that more than 30 million dogs are killed across Asia for meat every year. However, china has approved the use of bear bile to treat the Corona affected patients. Meanwhile, china which has been devastated due to the Virus is now returning back to normalcy.
