indian government has lifted the ban on the export of two key drugs, hydroxychloroquine and paracetamol and this has come after the US President trump requested PM modi to open the doors for an urgent supply of the drug. Earlier, trump said he was totally not aware of the export of hydroxychloroquine was banned by india and that he didn’t “like that decision”.

In fact, he even sent a threatening message that india has to face the consequences if the ban is not lifted. In this case, the decision has now been taken by the modi government to lift the ban on 24 drugs including two key drugs. This ban which was imposed last month has now been lifted entirely.

The export of hydroxychloroquine and paracetamol will be now taken on a “case-to-case basis, depending on the availability of stock after meeting domestic requirements." This ban on other medicines like tinidazole, metronidazole, erythromycin salts, vitamins are also lifted right now.
