As kerala entered the 15th day of lockdown, the state government has declared that it will give partial relaxation to various services. As part of this, mobile shops and automobile workshops can be partially functional from now on, chief minister pinarayi vijayan said on Tuesday. It was earlier informed that mobile shops can be opened once in a week. That day has been decided as Sunday. Automobile workshops can also function two days a week, on sunday and thursday,” said the Chief Minister.

 

The cm also added that the government is considering opening shops that sell electrical appliances like fans and air conditioners, for a day. Registered electricians in the state can also start to work from now on. “They can do necessary repair works based on demand. In flats, if centralised facilities turn faulty, that can be repaired,” said CM. With nine new COVID-19 cases being reported in the state today, the total number of positive cases stands at 336. Among this, 263 people are currently under treatment in the hospitals, while 71 have recovered. 

 

Talking to the media after the daily review meeting, the chief minister also said that 238 restaurants have opened in the state. These restaurants give a meal for Rs 20. It has been announced that the state government will open 1,000 such food outlets.Mooting a novel idea to aid children stuck at homes during the lockdown, the cm said that libraries in the state should home deliver books to children. Addressing the issues of farmers, the cm said that the vegetables produced to meet the demands during the festive season Vishu and easter will be procured by the agricultural department.
