andhra pradesh government is ranked Second in the country in terms of COVID-19 testing. On an average ap is testing 715 out of a million people, while rajasthan still stands at the 1st position. rajasthan has been testing 830 samples of a million people. On an overall scale, india is testing 290 of every million in population. andhra pradesh is around three and a half times more than the National Average.
ap has imported COVID-19 rapid testing from south Koreas, which can generate test results in just 10 minutes. But then, there has been a break in AP's speed now. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) asked the states not to use these kits for two days as there are reports of discrepancies.
"A lot of variations, kits will be rested and validated by on-ground teams. We will give advisory in the next two days," ICMR said. rajasthan government had discarded all the kits procured so far as the government claims that the accuracy rate of these kits is less than 5%. The State may have to test all the positive samples of Rapid Test Kits once again now.
