Politics took interesting turn in Kurnool district. TDP has strengthened day by day in the district. Except Kotla Family, most of the Congress leaders have joined in TDP. Challa, Gangula, Erasu, TG and Labbi were joined in TDP after deciding to scratch their relations with Congress. Allagadda which is known for its faction politics again will become centre of the attraction in 2014 general elections.
Shobha Nagi Reddy from YSRCP has to fight with Gangula Prabhakar Reddy of TDP for Allagadda. TDP had miserably lost the election twice to Shobha Nagi Reddy in 2009 and 2012 elections. CBN has realized that the strength of Irigela Pulla Reddy is not enough to fight with Bhuma family. TDP leaders have invited Gangula family into TDP and offer Allagadda Segment. TDP won Allagadda six times since its inception.
Till Yesterday, everyone predicts that election in Allagadda will become one side to YSRCP. Gangula family entry into TDP has changed their thought. TDP strengthened its position in Allagadda with Gangula and Irigela families. People in and around Allagadda feared of violence with Gangula and Bhuma contest. By fielding Gangula into the race, TDP creates tension among YSRCP cadre. No one can expect that Gangula will leave the Congress.
