When we observe the increase in number of cases in india everyone got frustration on their future. modi was announced 20 lakh crores package followed by five press conferences of Finance minister Sitharaman on dividing the package to different sectors. Like increase of coronavirus cases in the nation, the frustration among all people magnified after hearing the package. Now, india enters into top 10 among other nations in having positive coronavirus cases.
The number of Covid-19 cases tally to 145,380 in India. This includes 80,722 patients with the disease and 60,490 who have been treated and discharged and 4,167 deaths. It’s not correct to discuss on actions of modi government since two months to tackle the virus. But states don’t have any clarity on key issues like quarantine period, how to do tests and using PPE kits from indian Council of Medical Research. Initially, ICMR said that 21 days quarantine period later it was reduced to 14 days and now it’s 7 days. ICMR failed to give clarity to states on quarantine issue.
Number of tests is still in confusion to states even 60 days after lockdown in India. Some states followed random tests where as others follow large number of tests. telangana did just 25K tests so far, in the name random coronavirus tests. telangana health minister said that we follow as per the guidelines of ICMR. In ap, two lakh tests done till now. Lastly, ICMR didn’t give directions to the state on using PPE kits. Every states imported PPE kits from china and south Korea. Complaints rose against Chinese kits not working properly. ICMR failed to pass the clear-cut directions on PPE kits to the states. There are some political and some administrative reasons for the surge of the cases in India.
