According to sources Uttar Pradesh recorded 159 new novel coronavirus cases on friday, taking the state total to 4,057.Out of 4,057 total coronavirus cases, 1,251 are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat attendees and people who came in contact with them.The total number of discharged cases has mounted to 2,165, with 123 more patients discharged on Friday.

 

Ninety-five coronavirus related deaths have taken place in the state so far one each in Jalaun, mahoba, Pratapgarh, varanasi, Shravasti, Sant Kabir nagar, hapur, Lalitpur, Prayagraj, Etah, Bijnore, kanpur Dehat, amroha, Bareilly Basti, Bulandshahar, Lucknow; two each in Mainpuri, jhansi, Ghaziabad; three in Aligarh; four each in noida, firozabad, and Mathura; six in kanpur Nagar; 10 in Moradabad; 17 in meerut and 24 in Agra.In Uttar Pradesh, a maximum of 794 cases have been reported in agra, followed by 312 in kanpur, 295 in meerut, 276 in lucknow, 253 in noida and 209 in saharanpur, according to the data revealed by the state health department.There are 1,797 active cases of the novel coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh, according to the state health department data till 6 pm on Friday.

 

Meanwhile Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi adityanath has said that any state government which wants to employ migrant workers from his state will have to seek permission first. He did not elaborate on how UP planned to ensure that permission was taken or how it would monitor the movement of lakhs of migrant workers once the lockdown is lifted and economic activity restarts. There have been reports that tamil Nadu has also been trying to stop the exodus of migrant workers by keeping them comfortable, even though many industries have not been able to pay their salaries. yogi adityanath said the Commission that will come up will provide migrant workers with all kinds of facilities. "We will stand with migrant workers wherever they go," he added
