Alcohol sales are declining. As the government says there were many steps taken as part of a step-by-step alcohol ban. This is the main reason for the decline in Liquor Sales. When compared to Last year this year's alcohol sales has reduced. The prices of alcohol were increased by 75%.
Also, cm has imposed several restrictions on liquor sales as well. The actions taken by the government are having a great impact on sales. That difference is obvious when you look at the statistics from May last year. The ap almost seems to have reduced the beers. The possibility of further diminution is heard from the authorities.
Liquor sales are falling in the state, with prices up by 75 per cent over the same time. In May last year, 28.52 lakh cases of alcohol were sold. Selling 34.47 lakh cases of beer, the revenue of Rs. 41 crore was generated. Considering the figures of May 2020, the sales of liquor decreased from 28 lakhs to 11.68 lakh cases. However, a 75% increase in revenues resulted in getting 133 crore. Despite the huge variation in sales there was only 8 crore difference in the overall revenue.
