andhra pradesh has become a model state to the country in terms of testing. The state has tested one in every hundred people in the state. To increase the testing further, the state government now allowed the private labs with NABL Accreditation and indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) permission to perform the COVID-19 test.
The price of the test is fixed at ₹2900 per sample which includes Viral transport medium and PPE charges. Also, the government mandates the Private labs to notify the result of the test in real-time via portal to state and center. This will increase the testing of the contagious virus cases further in the coming days.
According to the medical bulletin released this morning, andhra pradesh had witnessed 207 Positive cases, among which 66 are from the people of other states and foreign returnees. The remaining 141 cases are native cases. Fifty-Nine patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours but there are no deaths. The total cases in the state are 5,402. If we consider only native cases, the count is 4,261. With 80 deceased and 2,559 discharged, there are 1,723 active cases.
