prime minister narendra modi in an interaction with the Chief Ministers rubbished all speculations of the reimposition of lockdown, calling all CMs to "fight rumors", as he asked states and Union Territories to get ready for Unlock 2.0 while being mindful of the challenges.
From the past few days, there were rumors that the Lockdown will be reimposed after rising Covid-19 tally in metros, particularly in delhi, mumbai, and Chennai. He sought the ideas from the chief minister about a possible Unlock 2.0. According to the Ministry of health and Family Welfare (this morning bulletin), the total number of cases in the country are 3,54,065.
On the other side, andhra pradesh had witnessed its biggest spike in Corona cases with 351 Positive cases, among which 76 are from the people of other states and foreign returnees. The remaining 275 cases are native cases. Fifty-Five patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours, and there are two deaths as well. The total cases in the state are 7,071. If we consider only native cases, the count is 5,555. With 90 deceased and 2,906 discharged, there are 2,559 active cases.
