In an unexpected move, popular American rapper kanye west has announced via twitter that he is planning to run for US president in the 2020 election which is scheduled to take place in November.
Making the big announcement on twitter on saturday, kanye west tweeted "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting god, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States... #2020VISION."
After this tweet from kanye west, the CEO of tesla, Elon Musk had expressed his support by replying to Kanye's tweet "You have my full support", while Kanye's wife, tv star Kim Kardashian tweeted an American flag emoji as her reply to her husband's tweet. No further information is available as to which party the 21-time Grammy winner will join, in the electoral battle against President donald trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
