This may be the scenario looking at how political analysts are viewing the elections in Seemandhra region which has gone to polls. The main contenders for this time happen to be the TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu and the YSRCP boss Jaganmohan Reddy. Sources say that in a way Lagadapati Rajagopal’s prediction may come true in favor of TDP provided there is more voting in urban areas than rural areas. Also unlike Telangana, which has more rural areas, Seemandhra has equal urban and rural regions. Initially till morning it was the turn of rural voters, whereas urban voters are expected to start voting from afternoon and the overall polling percentage has crossed 70 in most of the areas. So in a way the rivalry between Jagan and Naidu has now become a war between Urban and Rural Seemandhra. Of course, there are the factors like cadre strength, goodwill of the candidate and the party agendas which influenced the voter’s mindset.
