Recently as part of the breaking ice initiative with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was seen making some reconciliatory gestures with Babu. This came as a surprise but it is a much needed gesture.
Even during the press conference he called for, he spoke frankly that while Andhra has many links with Hyderabad, at the same time even Telangana would prefer a lot of help coming in regarding Machilipatnam.
The insider news is that since TS has no other option than importing bulk of imported coal to boost power production and planning for new thermal plants, Machilipatnam port, also called Bandar is the ideal location.
Hence in this regard, KCR has decided to go soft on AP as more imports from Bandar has to be done in future years and only a soft relationship with AP can help in reducing taxes on import of coal and other articles, given the fact that TS doesn’t have any sea coast and is land locked.
