Golla Babu Rao was former MLA of both Congress and YSRCP. Babu Rao was elected twice from Payakaraopet in 2009 as Congress Nominee and 2012 as YSRCP Nominee. An ardent fan of late YSR joined in YSRCP after Jagan formed the party. Golla Babu Rao was contested for Amalapuram Assembly in 2014 elections and lost the election to TDP by margin of 12K votes.
Now he is trying to test his luck for MLC from Teachers Constituency in Godavari districts. Its doubt Babu Rao is standing for MLC as per the directions of Jagan or not. Jagan ordered Babu Rao to meet personally on Sunday. As per buzz, Jagan will decide on Babu Rao’s candidature in MLC.
Both Babu Rao and Pilli Subhashchandra Bose will meet YS Jagan. On other hand, TDP candidate Chaitanya Raju is involving in his campaign for the victory. Chairman of Pragathi Educational Institutes, Krishna Rao is giving tough fight to Chaitanya Raju.
CBN assigned the responsibility to two ministers for MLC victory. Both the candidates do their campaign and meet the teachers personally. Chaitanya Raju gave assurance to solve the problems of the teachers. Reportedly, Jagan asked Babu Rao not to file nomination for MLC. It’s difficult for Babu Rao to compete other two financially strong candidates.
