Government of India may have acted tough and banned Leslee Udwin's controversial documentary India's Daughter made by BBC. However many in the country are breaking laws to watch the documentary.

According to the latest Hyderabad broke all norms to watch the film.City based activists of All India Democratic Women's Association screened the documentary and surprisingly no legal action was taken against them by the authorities.

B.Himavathi, Telangana state secretary of AIDWA said “Yes, on March 14 (Saturday) evening, the documentary India’s Daughter was screened at AIDWA office in Baghlingampally. Close to 50 members from AIDWA and the legal cell watched the short film. Why should it not be viewed? In fact AIDWA will be holding another round table conference on March 17 at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendra. All the members who watched the video agreed that there is a need to change the mindset. The documentary was not for public viewing, but just the members." She said they are ready to face any legal action.

ACP J.Narsaiah speaking on the issue said “We have not got any intimation on this issue so far. No case has been registered yet,” The documentary created huge controversy with rapist Mukesh Singh, gave graphical description of how he raped Nirbhaya and warned women not to roam on roads in nights or face more rapes.
