Post bifurcation, People of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are witness to many headaches,quarrels and misunderstandings. However yesterday Sri Rama Navami proved to be greater spectacle in the divided Andhra Pradesh.
Before division, Government used to speak only about Bhadrachalam temple on Ramanavami. However with Bhadrachalam going to Telangana after the division, AP government decided to celebrate the festival officially at Vontimitta temple in Kadapa district.
However priests,saints and other religious heads found fault with Chandra Babu led AP government saying Vontimitta is not suitable for the celebration. Many suggested Rama Teertham in Vijayanagaram.
Chandra Babu remained calm all the time but in the last minute as a middle way officially performed Sri Rama Navami as he wished at Vontimitta in Kadapa and also in Ram Teertham as per the wishes of the religious heads.
Thus Telugu people of both states are lucky that Sri Rama Navami celebrations are performed in three places, Vontimitta, Rama Teertham along with Bhadrachalam.
