Is Pawan Kalyan Over-Hyped?

There is been an interesting conversation in social media about Pawan Kalyan, Many people questioning if status of this movie demigod is over-hyped? www.apherald.com tried capturing social pulse on this topic and bringing this as weekend special story. This pulse represents two sides of the coin and these are opinions of people online.

YES — Pawan Kalyan Is Over-Hyped

Here is what an anonymous user on Quora says: I mean no offence. I actually like the way he acts. But I believe he is overhyped by his fans! Well there is nothing wrong in admiring a person for what he is. If Pawan Kalyan is a good actor, people can always watch his movies, debate over 'Who is superioir' or immitate his mannerisms.

But I don't understand the meaning of this word. 'Pawanism' Now I will be called a typical Mahesh Babu or NTR fan for this. No I'm not. I even hate it when people exaggerate the 'Superstar' or 'Nandamuri' image. It's really annoying when people try to reason with everything an actor does in his personal life just because they like the way he acts. (Oh wait! or if the actor belongs to a specific community).

Fans in South India tend to develop extreme affection towards a person for his character on the screen. There were many instances when actors have used this to enhance their political careers. When Pawan Kalyan acts in a role of a sincere police officer or a politician, he's still acting! He may or may not be one! Please stop supporting him in his personal life for what he is on screen.

PS: Please don't hate me for this answer. I'm a Pawan Kalyan fan too. But I'm not a follower of 'Pawanism'!

PSPK — Maybe / Maybe Not Over-Hyped

Here is what another anonymous user said in Quora: I am a fan of Pawan kalyan. Like totally, deeply a fan. I am not uneducated, unaware of things. I became his fan while I was watching his so-called-flop-movies. There is some magic around him. Many people can't relate to it but yeah there are some instances where I became a even bigger fan of his.

Humanity : Lunch with side actors

Usually when a big star acts in a movie, there are many side character who play comic roles or that negative roles(not main roles). If anyone gets a hit they just have success meet and boast about how their movie was a HIT because of Director, music director and thank the producer for believing in the crew. Pawan Kalyan instead, called these side actors to his place and had lunch with them. Yes, the same people who are looked down upon by everyone.

Politics: Stood against his own brother

He had to stand against his brother because he always believed that Congress is becoming extremely corrupt and the only way to save the nation is to take congress out from power. His brother on the other hand was money minded so had to merge his party into congress.
