Chennai Floods have completely battered the normal life style of people. Most of the areas were shattered. Books and everything were washed away on the floods. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu ordered the education department to cancel all the Half Yearly examinations in month of December.
We already reported that few schools keep two examinations as 'Pre Half Yearly Examinations' and 'Post Half Yearly Examinations'. The Pre Half Yearly exams will take place on December 14th and the postponed exam as scheduled by Education Department will take place on January.
But with strict orders, the exams were cancelled. But most schools in Tamil Nadu and especially in district of Thoothukudi, most schools are keeping examinations under the name 'Monthly Exams'. Regarding this when we buzzed a High school teacher she said,
"Government is giving enough time for students to prepare for the exams. But we are forced to keep exams under the name of 'Monthly exams'. The news is not known to Education Department. We hope some one passes this information and the exams get cancelled so that Students also get ample time for preparation. As teachers we also face less time to value the papers. Despite Government orders most schools are defying them."
