vikram Lander of Chandrayaan 2 mission lost its communication with the Ground Control just 2.1 Kilometers away from the Lunar Surface on early hours of Saturday. Since then, ISRO has been analyzing the data to find out what went wrong in the mission and they have made a key announcement.

The exact location of vikram Lander is found on the Lunar Surface as the orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander but the communication is yet to be established. An official of ISRO revealed that going by the pictures, vikram Lander appears intact but tilted. Efforts are on to establish contact. The question now is whether blackout is due to system damage or orientation — or both.

Even though the communication link between Vikram and the Ground Control is established, the mission could not be revived but the scientists will be able to find out what went wrong which will help in their subsequent missions. Even though Vikram Lander has failed, 90 to 95% of the mission objectives have been accomplished since the orbiter will revolve the Moon for around a year.
