Congress and corruption go hand in hand and this has been the tried and tested truth if one checks the history. But now, it looks like even injustice and biased stands have also become a part of the party’s philosophy. The best example for that is the way the cases of ministers Dharmana Prasad Rao and Mopidevi Venkatramana have been handled.
Both are ministers and both were accused of indulging in illegal asset case. However, Mopidevi is still rotting in jail while Dharmana didn’t even go anywhere near the jail premises. If one can recall, Mopidevi had reportedly pleaded with the government to show support but no one cared.
But in Dharmana’s case the entire state cabinet came together and even chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy didn’t hesitate to reject the minister’s resignation letter. So where is the difference? Why was Mopidevi left to the winds while Dharmana was protected from all angles. What’s your take on this?
