Saddula Batukamma fesitval which highlights the rich Telangana culture ended in a grand manner yesterday. Telangana government organised the festival in a grand manner for the second time after the formation of state.
Immersing the Batukammas in sagars and lakes
All Ministers and other representatives participated in the festival in their respective districts. The nine day festival concluded yesterday with people immersing the Batukammas in sagars and lakes with great devotion.
In Hyderabad Batukamma procession started with much fanfare from LB Stadium and the Shobha Yatra taken by TJS president Nijamabad MP Kavitha and it was given spectacular welcome at Tankbund by Deputy CM Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Chandulala.
However people who celebrated the festival with singing and dancing were disappointed that CM KCR and Governor Narasimhan not participating in their celebrations. Many are wondering why KCR insulted Batukamma. What answer TRS leaders and KCR got for this and people are waiting to hear from him.
