During the Telangana fight for separate statehood, many in seemandhra and some who supported bifurcation came with the proposal to trifurcate the state with Andhra,Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Rayalaseema is more underdeveloped than Telangana
They cited that Rayalaseema is more underdeveloped than Telangana though the state has been ruled by politicians from the same region and if it goes with Andhra, Ralayaseema will not develop.
Some from Rayalaseema even demanded they be joined with Telangana and form greater Telangana. But none of that happened and now Rayalasema became part of Andhra Pradesh.
Amaravathi capital foundation ceremony
After the Amaravathi capital foundation ceremony which was held in a grand manner by AP CM Chandra Babu, hs is witnessing rebellion brewing in Rayalaseema. Many from Seema feel thay are getting neglected and sidelined and fomer Justice Lakshman Reddy met Governor Narasimhan and highlighted how the region was getting neglected.
They pointed that it was against Sribagh agreement and some analysts say Chandra Babu should address the problem on urgent basis. CPM leaders already blocked roads and demanded Rs 5000crs development package.
