Universal Hero Kamal Hassan has come in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. The Universal hero who is in Hyderabad today for the audio launch event of his Cheekati Rajyam responded on the intolerance debate and Award Wapsi going on in the country after Dadri lynching incident.
Several award winners are returning their awards saying that the NDA government is aiding intolerance growing in the country. He slammed the Award Wapsi saying, "There are ways to speak out and get attention. But, never return your Awards. It amounts to insulting the government and the country. Instead they should return the money they earned so far".
"Religious intolerance broke the country once. Otherwise the country would have been biggest in the World. I am against it and it should not happen again", Kamal said. He also advised those returning their awards to explore other ways to bring attention to issue. He advised they should keep awards and continue the fight against any Government that is not tolerant hinting that this Award Wapsi is targeting BJP.
