Heavy rains completely shattered Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu for past few days. The whole city had some clear blue skies from yesterday. The incessant downpour affected normal day to day life style. The entire city is water-logged and the capital is still suffering.

As per sources this is the highest rainfall in last 10 years recording 247.5mm rainfall. The unexpected downpour caused more trouble. We already reported that the relief measures are going low. Now Jayalalitha despite knowing elections are nearing is taking little steps to benefit people of Chennai.

Now Chief Minister has said she needs help from central government. Sources said she spoke with home minister Rajnath Singh through telephone. Rajnath Singh also took twitter to confirm that he had spoken to Chief Minister and has assured of all possible help.

Right now the death toll has raised up to 111. Districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Cuddalore has caused more damage to roads, crops and others. Public are asking the question as 'Poes Garden' roads are alone clean where the CM resides and the rest of the roads are filled with pot holes and water logs.
