The incident which involved the kidnap of six TRS leaders yesterday in Khammam district by CPI (Maoist) cadre has now come at a time when Telangana Rashtra Samithi seems to have burnt all the bridges it had built with the leftwing group right from 2001 to until the 2014 elections.

The Maoists, mentioned the often repeated by K Chandrasekhar Rao as part of the 2014 campaign that his party would be implementing the `Maoist agenda'. However, sources say that an unwritten peace agreement between KCR and the Maoists has now become frayed.

Matters came to a worse end after the encounter killings of Sruthi and Vidyasagar Reddy , in Warangal district two months ago. Wednesday's kidnap is now appearing to be the final straw of any least chance of peace between Maoists and the Telangana government.

The most surprising part of it is that there is studied silence from TRS and the government that they are treating this kidnap incident like an event which is not even worthy of their reaction. Things are definitely expected to heat up in Telangana as the 14 year bonhomie between TRS and Maoists ends.
