An under-construction building at Moulivakkam last year took 61 lives. DMK requested for a CBI probe in order to investigate the case. The petition came to hearing today. The first bench comprises of Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayana. 


The construction company was scheduled to comed for a hearing on 23rd November. The judge ordered the Kancheevaram district collector to demolish the second block too. DMK treasurer MK Stalin filed a CBI inquiry regarding the collapse of the under-construction 11-storey residential apartment on 28th of June at Moulivakkam.  


At the same time notice was issued to the construction company that the block has to be demolished under Section 133 of CrPC. However the company has made a Criminal Revision petition before the Single Judge. The matter popper up today again. 


The owner said there is no danger in the building and he has promised to take the full responsibility regarding the building. Advocate General AL Somayaji submitted the documents and the court was adjourned till 10th of December.
