Few days back we reported that four girls have been dismissed from a government school at Tiruchengode in Namakkal district. As per the reports the girls were drinking beer inside the classroom. The girls are studying 11th standard and they were immediately given Transfer and Conduct certificates.

The CEO Gopidas took the action and he made it a statement that they were dismissed as such incidents should not happen once again inside school premises. But we hear from sources that some activists are speaking in favour of the girls.

Change India director and child rights activist A.Narayanan has went to Education secretary Sabitha to revoke the dismissal order against four girls which was issued by Namakkal education department . He has written a letter to secretary, and in his letter, he has said, "Activists and educationalists have long been insisting on establishment of counseling centre in schools and colleges for a long time.

They need to appoint independent counselors to guide and assist students to overcome all these psychological and emotional stress. The TASMAC should not be within the radius and we can't blame the girls." He also said according to Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending Rules, 20113, Liquor should not be sold to anyone below 21 years.
