Sun is finally shining and right now things are turning back to normal state. However essential commodities like milk, water and vegetables are still unavailable and people who sale it are selling them at huge cost of Rs.100 to 150. This has shocked the inmates of Chennai.

Milk is being sold for a price of Rs.90 and other necessities were also sold for huge price. Even though Mobile services were resumed, ATM's continued to stay shut. Most of the ATM's are still water-logged. ATM Vestibules are close down in most parts.

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu has praised Chennai for its unity. He said, "The tragedy is huge. Any kind of help will not be sufficient as the tragedy is big. For Chennai, the whole country has came forward to help. All sections of the community have come forward and have done a commendable job.

I need to compliment the people of Chennai for showing their fight back attitude. They have set a good example for others. However we will continue to provide the rescue operations. Rainfall has reduced and water level has completely went down in most areas."
