There are times when one regrets what has happened, but for TDP
chief Chandrababu Naidu, this is a mistake which he has done 15 years
back that also bifurcated United AP while also crippling the TDP in
Telangana region once and for all.

Telugu Desam has suffered another shock yesterday with the resignation
of former Minister and TDP leader Vijaya Rama Rao. This resignation may
not hurt TDP openly now since he is not that active in politics but it
dates back to more than 15 years.
After getting
endorsement for his CM Candidature in a thumping win in 1999 elections,
Babu wanted to accommodate Vijaya Rama Rao in his cabinet and hence
refused a berth to KCR since both Vijaya Rama Rao and KCR were from the
same Velama community.
Babu made
KCR Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly and upset KCR eventually
floated Telangana Rashtra Samiti in April 2001 and rest is history with
TDP now moving to extinction in Telangana. Also at the same time, Vijaya
Rama Rao, a former CBI director is now joining KCR and his team, what
an irony!
