Amar Singh is one of the leading politicians from state of Uttar Pradesh. He is a former member of Rajya Sabha. He was also one of the leaders of Samajwadi Party. Known for his chaste Hindi and political connections. He resigned from all his posts in January 6, 2010.
He was expelled from Samajwadi Party by its party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. He spent a brief period in judicial custody in 2011. Right now he is completely out of Politics. Now he is doing role of Politician in the movie 'JD' which is directed and produced by Shailendra Pandey.
Today he was admitted in a Private hospital in New Delhi. A source said, "Amar Singh who is 59 years old had uneasiness and was taken to Fortis hospital. Doctors are treating him and they have said this may be due to a Kidney transplant which he did last year.
Right now he is completely at bed rest and doctors are consistently watching his health condition." There has been rumours regarding his return to Samajwadi party once again.
