After floods have drained, Schools have re-opened in Chennai. We already provided a complete report on the list of schools which are even closed due to water logs. The city is still limping to turn back to normal life. Chennai however has resumed their classes. 


Most Children said they have lost their books and they were not given new books. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha already announced to postpone the half yearly exams by January. But still few schools in other coastal areas have started Half Yearly exams. 


To escape from surprise visits from Education department they have just renamed the exams to 'Monthly' and 'Pre-Half Yearly'. We already provided a complete report on that. Tamil Nadu Government is also blind towards it. Recently Anna University announced the semester exam dates and as students protested due to the tight schedule of exams, now they too have postponed the exams. 


Emily Sujirtha Titus who is the Principal of CSI St Ebbas Matriculation Higher Secondary School said, "We have lost nearly a term of academic session. Children are still scared as they have lost everything. We are providing counselling."
