But now in a shocking statement it was revealed that the Government Officials in Hyderabad between a period of 2009 and 2014 has misused a sum of Rs.3630 Crores of Public money. The news has shocked everyone. Right now activists are against this and they are claiming where has the money went ?
A RTI activist Sambi Reddy Bontu said, "A classic example of wastage (of money) is the 150 corporators' quota of Rs 690 crore (for five years) earmarked for developmental works. Lots of money were either unused or misused. Now in this case, what good is the elections ?
The maintenance of the city has been below par. But it seems the money has been sanctioned for maintenance. The records are also not proper. The property taxes are also being corrupted. People's money are completely mishandled."
