It was just another routine day at Trichy Airport. But a tip-off from an unknown person has caused ripples inside the Airport. People were floating and things were not the same later on. Authorities were on the hunt for two passengers who are arriving from Kuala Lumpur.
All the gates were closed and security tightened the screws. As the two passengers received, the authorities invited them for a personal inquiry. It was said that both the passengers were frequent travellers and they confessed that they were returning from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The two passengers reached the destination by Air India. When the authorities made a deep search they found that they were carrying illegal gold. The Gold was expected to be Rs.1.35 Crores.
Immediately they have seized 5.2 Kg of Gold. Right now Officials of the Department of Revenue Intelligence conducts a formal investigation. The both are expected to be thrown behind bars after the interrogation session.
