Sand Mining is happening more in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Now the levels have been crossed since TDP came to rule. Crores of money are involved in this mafia.
Now some reports state that lots of Sand mafia gangs are using Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh name to get their work done. And this is just affecting Nara Lokesh and TDP's image in a huge way. Everyone knows that Sand is more vital for construction and cashing on the requirement, the mafia is right now ravaging riverbeds.
Mondepu Lanka village in East Godavari district is one such quite popular for sand mafia as loads of sand is being transported illegally from this area. Reports say that at least 100 trucks of Sand will be carried and this itself brings hefty losses to Government.
The mafia uses Nara Lokesh name to get their work done smooth. They also easily cross cops and the management said the mafia are using Lokesh's name openly. Another source said, TDP government provides license for Sand Mafia gang and this has increased drastically.
