Well managing an assembly with two major parties which are hardcore rivals is not an easy task. AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has reportedly felt that already there is a lot of pressure on him these days.
The latest move involving the suspension of firebrand YSR Congress party MLA Roja for a period of one year has only compounded the pressures. Kodela expressed how there were different opinions regarding Roja’s suspension for one year.
There are many who feel that it was too harsh and others also equally feel that this is indeed a right decision. He added that this was not a personal decision of him and it was the government which has moved the resolution for one year suspension.
He has now appointed a committee under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad for examining Roja’s suspension and see whether it was justified and in case the duration could be soon reduced, based on the committee report!
