Leader of the Andhra Pradesh assembly, YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been aggressive ever since the shock defeat during the last general elections at the hands of TDP-BJP combine led by Chandra Babu and Modi, is now facing the biggest test in his political career.
For the first time after general elections 20 months back, corporation elections will give YSRCP a chance to show its power. It will also provide some direction to YSRCP and Jagan's future.
Elections for Greater Visakha corporation will be held soon and others like Kurnool,Guntur,Rajamundry are pending. In the last elections Jagan's mother YS.Vijayamma lost contesting from Visakhapatham loksabha constituency.Many in the party are unhappy with the functioning of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Party sources say the
upcoming elections show the leadership qualities and strength of
YS.Jagan. Jagan too has taken it as a prestige issue and is now holding
discussions with party leaders.
