Former Indian President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam's grave was near his hometown Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. Now it has been more than five months since his demise. We reported that the memorial has became a shelter for cattle and a place for dumping gutter.
The ruling ADMK government which is completely impotent is busy in praising the Chief Minister and they never did anything useful. After lots of lashings, the government has stepped up to build the memorial. The work is about to begin at the Pei Karumbu burial ground near his hometown Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.
But it has to be noted that the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) will pay for constructing the memorial. Regarding this a senior DRDO official said, "We will start constructing the boundary wall to maintain the decorum. We don't wait for the Government to invest money."
Earlier the state Government blamed centre and centre blamed state. There has been no proper work so far. Any how, the work has started right now. It's better late than never.
