The Winter climate has now took a hit in Amritsar and Punjab. The cold waves have continued to toil the people of both Haryana and Punjab with minimum temperatures. The temperatures have dropped considerably and has caused more trouble.


Chandigarh which is the common capital of both Haryana and Punjab faced a mercury drop and the readings were recorded at 5.8 degrees Celsius. In Haryana, Hisar and Karnal recorded identical minimum temperatures of 3.5 degrees Celsius.


Narnaul in Haryana also recorded a low temperature of 5.2 degrees celsius. Another Punjab city Ludhiana was also cold at 4.3 degrees Celsius, down three notches while Patiala's night temperature settled at 6.1 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.


Forecasting department ensured that the weather will face a drop for next three weeks. People are buying winter clothes at road side to fight against this cold temperature. There has been a huge demand for woolen clothes and bed spreads due to this low temperature.
