Congress President Sonia Gandhi has asked all the Congress Chief Ministers to provide immediate relief for the people who faced some strong earthquake at North eastern states.
In a statement issued, Sonia Gandhi has expressed her distress with respect to the deaths and destruction which was caused by the earthquake in North eastern states. A report said that at least five persons were killed in this mishap and more than 50 were injured.
It was said that a strong 6.7 magnitude earthquake has hit in North eastern states and this has caused more damage to buildings. People are right now in panic. Sonia Gandhi has also asked asked Congress Chief Ministers in the region to ensure immediate relief and rescue operations.
He also asked the members to attend the relief works. Rahul Gandhi has also asked his party workers and other members to join hands with various affiliated organizations and provide the necessary help. He also said that his thoughts and prayers are with people of Manipur and other North eastern states.
